I think i'm beginning to understand the brushwork more now - you press down at the beginning of the stroke and lift up gently and this seems to make the front of your stroke light and the ending darker with the pooled colour! I just have to remember to use this technique :d

Wow. I have to smile at your comments below where you repeat that you use cheap brushes. One of my art teachers was famous for saying, "It's not the tools, it's the artist. If you gave Picasso a box of crayons, you'd still get great art." You're the proof. Love the work, envy your control. Beautiful.
