Starcoder actually kinda sucks. Ive been testing a wide range of coding models for the past month including starcoder base, starcoder plus, starchat beta, wizardcoder, and lots of other models extensively. And the matter of the fact is that the guanaco 65b model run circles around the starcoder models in terms of everything including coding performance. Im testing robin 65b next as i hear its supposedly better than guanaco 65b on benchmarks but we'll see if it actually outperforms guanaco
