'Heidi' - Oblivion (Grimes) Fan-Animated Music Video

Here it is, my second year film. Been working on it on and off for over a year and a half and it's still not quite finished, but I figured I'd post it anyway because I have other things I need to finish, like that Wolf Song prequel animatic and my thesis film that I'm also working on. I needed to finally put this film to rest, and also give you all something to tie you down until the next video I post.
Even though I'm not super proud of it (lots of missing inbetweens and scenes that need some serious cleanup among many other mistakes), I hope you all enjoy what I envisioned listening to Grimes' "Oblivion"

Hi yes hello

Thank you for watching this messy half-finished animation of mine and for your interest in these characters, as well as sharing your interpretations. I really didn't expect this video to get as much attention as it did, now I kind of regret not finishing it, haha. ovo;; Still, I'm glad so many of you seem to like it anyway.

I've gotten (and still get) a lot of comments asking for a sequel or suggesting that Heidi should be a comic (much like my Wolf Song video, I have a feeling it's because they both have open endings).

Well, good news! I have a potential sequel video planned and a comic based on Heidi planned for the future. Presently, I have been working on a fully-animated prequel video for my Wolf Song animatic, and I'm also working on a comic based on Wolf Song. Once I'm done with that series I plan to work on the aforementioned Heidi projects. Those who keep up with me on social media have been mostly aware of this, but I figured I should post this info here for those new or returning viewers that may be interested in more of, well, this.

If you would like to be more in the know and maybe also support these (and future) projects so I can get them out to you all sooner, I urge you to please check out my patreon page. Get it? She’s called “Heidi” cause she’s like Jekyll and Hyde.

My interpretation:

Heidi is the girl, and she has been looking for a boy who excepts her in human form and in spider demon thingy form, and when she pulled that guy behind the wall she showed him her spider form and he got scared. Therefore, she had to get rid of him so he wouldn’t tell anyone so she killed him. When she sees the boy, idk, lets call him Nate, Nate gets scared and runs. He had dropped his tape and she was running to give it back to him with not enough time to turn back into human form. When she sees that Nate isn’t running once she catches up to him, and he still tells her the tape is for her, she finally found a boy who accepted the way she was.

I think she didnt plan on eating him from the beginning cause when she tapped his shoulder she was smiling at him, the kind of smile you give when you bump into a good friend lmao and then he dropped his tape so as a good friend she wanted to catch up to him to give it back, heidi is overall lovely tbh hehe

3:08 I'm so impressed by how the artist drew/animated her hands! They are a very complex body part to draw and a lot of people have trouble drawing then😭😭 but she/he/theg made it look so real and accurate it's so amazing!!
