In our first Podcast of 2024, Iris and Kristin are reunited — and healthy —again!

This is a little bit of a different podcast for us. Today, we're trying out a chit-chat and knit format — we chat about what we're wearing, what we're knitting, what yarn and patterns we've chosen for the Carbeth Knit Along, and you even get the conclusion of Iris' Dark Dark Sweater of Doom story (aka The Gib II by Andrea Mowry), and the sweater she ended up knitting instead.

She knit this in Lanas:

Iris is wearing the Crosswalk Shawl by Stephen West:
She knit it in Tandem by Stephen and Penelope.

Carbeth KAL — starting January 7th — patterns by Kate Davies:
- Kristin is making the Carbeth Pullover and she's already knitting on it in this podcast, using Tsuido in colorway 24:

- Iris is making the Carp-Beth Pullover and she's already knit a sleeve so she could figure out all the interesting details of the carp scale pattern (so she can help out our knitters!). She's using Eco Tweed by Ella Rae in color Tide:

Knit a Flat Gauge Swatch for a Sweater Knit in the Round — a video tutorial by Kristin:

Iris has a finished object! Her Roddin Mitts by Ysolda Teague, in a lovely woolie Gotland yarn that she got from a friend's sheep:

The Children Dance Around The Trees by Arne and Carlos:

Let us know what you think of this chit-chat and knit podcast in the comments! Thanks so much for watching!

We hope to see you in the shop sometime in beautiful Camden, Maine!

I just finished this video and love you chatting about projects. I was crocheting along while you were knitting. I’d like to see these more often as it’s relaxing to spend some virtual time while you chat. 😊

Hi, first time watching. It was nice to sit and knit alongside yall! Glad to hear what you're wearing and working on. I enjoyed this very much! To hear your technique of changing needle sizes for your sweater was very cool. Thanks for posting! Working on a Traveler Shawl
