Nothing wrong with honouring someone by dressing up as them so long as you are respectful. Black kids dress up as white people all the time and no one says a thing. There's no middle ground. People used to be too insensitive, now we are too sensitive, walking on egg shells. It's just a costume, should kids be banned from dressing as a character that's not their own race?

I Dressed up as Minnie Mouse at 29 at My Job at Target . I still Dressed up for Halloween in My 40’s and At 68 I was a Hippie . It is Just to have Fun .😂

You were so young and innocent... i think its beautiful that you didnt see color as a child or as a reason to not want to be him.. he was and is an icon still... it would have been so confusing for a child to understand and be introduced to ...luckily some were protected from it do infact understand the difference.. for instance if you had your face painted or at your age now or if you mockingly portray him... that would be a line crossed..but truly this...i can also see as equal to a parent it would be Like telling a child they can't be spiderman or cinderella or Jesus in a. Cristmas play.. bc they dont "fit the criteria" ....how do you explain that to a child of any race... prime example of why the new ariel the little mermaid was a must!! i mean they have character day here for our kids at school ... i couldnt image if my niece or nephew wanted to be someone like lisa from A popular kid's book named corduroy... in a childs eyes they are no different until taught that they are "different" babies are babies ...so let them be babies.. let them be innocent >this world is corrupting our kids of every nationality and has been for YEARS teaching them that they are not equal.... and then. We wonder why these kids feel the need to start entirely new identity- identification terms and brackets to fit into... the truth is, this world has never taught them to be acceptable or accepted.. because the world has never been an exceptional place.
Every child should be accepted they are our future. ❤️💛🖤🤍

I was harriet beecher stowe, i had like 80 kids come to me and i had to say it that many times, i almost passed out. A kid next to me had to say it about 150 times, and he cried 😂
