Many NYers (especially NYC) from back in the day, had the unique pleasure of visiting the Peg Leg Bates Country Club for weekends of comedy, music, and dancing entertainment, swimming, nature walks and lots of good food. Plus Mr Bates was very personable and would talk to folks, sign autographs and take pictures with everyone. For adults and kids It was always a good time and great memories.

I'll never forget visiting Peg Leg Bates Resort and I was just a little girl and I will never forget Peg Leg Bates dance moves with a peg leg...I was mesmerized seeing him dance and I'm going on 64 this December God Willing and seeing this just freshly invaded me and my family visit the resort and 3 of the family members are no longer alive but this keeps their memories alive as well as Peg Leg Bates himself 🙌👑🕊️💝🤗🥰💪🥹🗣️
