Training in focused trauma ultrasound in virtual reality will ensure that doctors and paramedics can quickly detect internal bleeding.

A quick and easy way to check for internal bleeding is to perform a trauma ultrasound scan (FAST) - either in the emergency room or already in the ambulance - to assess whether the patient needs to be operated on quickly or needs further examination.

Therefore, there is a great need for doctors and paramedics to be able to perform these examinations quickly and with good quality. The way the training is currently conducted is in simulation centers, where one can scan on phantoms.

However, there are some problems associated with this.

The disadvantages of simulation training in a simulation center are that it is limited to certain courses and locations and can be expensive in terms of procurement and operation. In VR, we can develop uniform courses with the same content, making it possible to train anywhere and anytime.
