In the midst of their summer world tour, Los Angeles based DJ-producer duo Classixx release the stunning 'Into The Valley' on Defected's DFTD. The original mix of 'Into The Valley' is built around a fuzzy analogue bass line and baritone vocals that instantly transport you to a summery off-grid location. The unexpected saxophone and falsetto introduce a heavenly break that leaves you wanting more. Julio Bashmore's remix hooks you in with an ear-to-ear syncopation of 8-bit arpeggios and dreamy bongos. The track builds nicely with warm piano stabs transforming the original into a futuristic gospel number. Numbing sub bass and warehouse reverb characterise the minimal beginnings of Cristoph's remix. One minute in and the bass gets heavier, tensions rise higher revealing the darker, deeper side to this midnight masterpiece.
