I had the same problem. All you need to do is find a 5 W Apple charger, and that should do the trick.

I had one of those. They were marketed toward use in an active lifestyle. I was working out a couple of hours a day for 5 days a week back then, like an hour on the elliptical and hour of lifting weights. Lotta sweat. They did not hold up at all to sweating. They must have sent me 5 or 6 new ones too under the warranty. In my experience when they stopped working, there was no fix. They were super sensitive and almost fragile.

I made sure the power block was the old iPhone little blocks. Mine did the same but turned green solid when I changed the power block.

Mine did that to just right now as i went past this video looked at the commwnts and yes you do just need a stronger powed source, my portable charger did the trick

I would call an Apple store maybe they can tell you what to do before taking it to one.

Honestly that looks like a shot battery those iPods were not designed to last very long only 500 charge cycles before they go bad I bought 2 of these 5 years ago and they would do the same thing but turn the light green after a few seconds indicating that the battery was fully charged but as soon as I started playing it I’d get 30 seconds into a song and it would just die right there and then

You need to sync it to your computer… iTunes/music app.

Remove the battery and charge it with a power supply

The battery is probably cooked older battery tend to not work after long periods of time

Hi I had a shuffle with this problem all over the internet everyone said to replace the battery but I thought “could I just jumpstart it?” So I opened it up and stripped a old usb cable put +to+ and -to- and it worked still does to this day and I love it

I had one when I was in middle school 😂 I accidentally dropped it in a huge snow storm. Found it in the spring when all the snow melted. Looked like it had been run over by a car. It still worked though!🤣
