love how it's Dutch traditional, but basically the potato came from the "new world", back through Europe, and each country just threw in another ingredient. The Irish got it right first time, just a load of spring onion, and more butter than you think you need, and then more butter....

Back when I was a kid my father used to get left over spag bog and crack several eggs into it. It was then mixed and cooked through on a barbecue hot plate. This is the most sustaining, delicious breakfast for us farming folks back then. Farking awesome!

I somewhat recently discovered the oven for cooking large quantities of bacon. Initially thought it would make a mess but it doesn't. So much easier than using pans and griddles. Same for french toast...now goes in the oven. But I would like to get one of those griddle grills someday.

Wow, i love the stamppot! It looks awesome!
Though never seen it made like this in the Netherlands. I've only been living there for the last 38 years so it's quite possible i just missed it. 😉

But serious, we make all kinds off stamppot here. You just put all of them in one pot and i love it!
