I always thought about upgrading to the A7RIV from my A7RIII, I really did like the upgrade in resolution. Then the R5 come out and I was very intrigued! Then the A7CR came out and now I'm sold completely. Hopefully I will get one in the next week! The fact that you can now also get the medium size RAW files is so great for when I don't need the full 61MP and apparently that format also reduces the noise for better low light shooting!

A7cr is a gem, i bought one as a sec cam for my A7r4 because of its compactness.i see the main advantage of being able to use 2 types of lens (F/Apsc)for each of their advantage.Large 61mp is most important for me before i can go w medium format but cannot live with their package size.While i don't see any disadvantage while coming from A7r2 & 4.If they could come up with an even smaller body than this, i will take it (w same spec)!

I think the smallest full frame camera in their lineup is the ZV-E1 but I am excited for this one. May become my stills/hybrid camera. Been waiting for similar size as the ZV-E1 and this may be it. My ZV-E1 is wonderful and my dedicated video camera.

Interesting, I'm very curious by how good the AF is. My current small backup camera is my fpL (before that my M6 or J5) which I bring when I have my S5 so I can swap lens if needed or I see an interesting shot that requires extra resolution. The problem is it is not a fast workflow, and no AI AF or ibis which we are kind of used to now. To be honest I havet got my moneys worth out of my A7Riii yet, so maybe I'll wait for a like new used one in a years time as my goto travel camera.

Naaaah, no way, uh uh, oh please! The "smallest full-frame digital camera" is the Sony RX1/RX1R/RX1Rii which has been around in one iteration or another for several years.
