FROPACK4 is HERE with 14 all-new custom Lightroom presets!!! Check it out

This is a Preview of the Sony a7CR. The a7CR takes pretty much everything from the Sony a7R V and squeezes it into a smaller body. Is it for portrait photographers, wedding and studio photographers...landscape photographers or even for sports? How is the Sony a7CR's video?

I think this camera is going to be extremely popular. Perfect for travelers who can take a small prime and just crop a lot to zoom in and still get very good images.

I am such a lover of small and light but powerful gadgets, this is right up my alley 🌚❤️

I have the A7RV, love that camera. If these two were available at the time I purchased mine, I would still go with the bigger body and dual slots.

Sony pitch meeting be like:
CEO: "What should we do next?"
Guy A: "New a7iv in a compact body."
Guy B: "New a7R5 in a compact body."
Guy C: "New firmware update for A1 and A7siii.

*Guy C get thrown out of the window*

I can't un-see the speck of dust on the exposed sensor shots.

8:50 tbh for non profesional shooters I think 1 card slot is ok

in aps-c mode, a fast card probably wont fill up can go forever, so that lets you use smaller zooms with 1.5x reach and 8fps with no buffer concerns at 26mp for stills. at full sensor, clear image zoom doubles your focal length also of FF glass, turning your prime into a prime zoom, so that's another benefit of the huge sensor.

If only the screen did the tilt thing in line with the camera body -- like the A7R V or the Leica Q3 -- this would be my new street photography camera! So close. So very close!

This is where the really hard hitting questions come in. A7RV or A7C R? Is the R C that much smaller for better street photography? What if I want to use the camera for professional photography too, will the C R look like a small toy camera and not fit as well in the hand? What about the EVF, is the RV's that much better? Isn't the C R's shutter much louder than the RV which kinda nullafies it's use for discreet street photography? What if I get into wedding photography where dual cards slots are essential? What the heck, shouldn't I just stay with my RIII?? etc. etc. etc.

I gotta say the eye tracking on Sonys is unmatched

I was hoping it has the same multi angle LCD screen as A7RV. The pricing is less than expected, relatively comparing to A7C ii.

Aye 100% you were Top G back when I first was learning how to take photos. I literally looked p to this channel.
As a matter of fact, you are the reason I got the Sony A77 way back then. I'm currently still shooting with it. - Actually I'm getting ready to do a shoot with it this weekend.
I'll email you the photos when I'm done editing.

I dont know why but as a a7r 5 shooter im insulted. Now I feel like I need both for some reason.

I was worried where the price was going to land and I can see it at 3k, anything more than that and you might as well get the A7RV. I have the A7RV and it’s great and was considering the A74 a second body but this could be interesting. The only issues I see is how much do you value what you’re loosing and if it’s worth just paying the $900 to get it

Anyone notice the side-by-side shots are showing an A7R IV instead of an A7RV? example @ 2:49. (the V loses the IR sensor in the grip)

The biggest difference to me between the A7RV and the A7RC is that not only does the A7RV has two cards slots, but that they're both CF-Express Type A capable, whereas the A7RC has only one card slot that's not CF-Express Type A capable. I would like to have seen Jared discuss the FPS and buffer clearing on the A7RC, especially as he was shooting the Phillies game. Seems to me the slower FPS and buffer would make this camera not very appealing to someone who shoots sports or wildlife

Those 2 dusts on the sensor (4:40) is just killing me :()

Does fro ever photograph anything outside of what’s 5 miles from him?

Sure, as a Z9 shooter & growing up with DSLRs, I might be biased, but I genuinely want to know: Have you ever felt or heard anyone say they found the A7R_ to be too big and wished it smaller????
[I'm being totally seriously here - this is not a sarcastic jab]

The thing that's always confused me about this is yes, I understand the appeal of a Fuji X100 / Leica Q style camera (having owned the former myself, as well as multiple Leica M cameras), but with these Sony mirrorless cameras, the lenses are still going to be the bottleneck of just how compact the entire package can be. And having a very small body on a large lens (even something like a 35mm f/1.4GM, which isn't THAT large in the grand scheme of things) feels awkward in my hand.

Edit: haha this wasn't even intentional but I like how I said "having a very small body on a large lens" as opposed to "having a very large lens on a small body" because the former is actually what it feels like to me.

Man, I was hoping for a better EVF for that price.
