Buying a $50 Go Kart in 2022

Показать описание
We bought a cheap go kart in 2022! With inflation at an all time high, does a $50 go kart build in 2022 still give a good value? We picked up this Manco Dingo with a Predator 212cc engine for $50. This abandoned go kart has been sitting for 2 years, and is missing the roll cage, a belt, the tires are deflated, and it has a broken headlight. Can you still have fun on a $50 go kart?

Thanks for Watching!

Charles talkin about never being on the leaderboard made me think it would be cool to pull all the projects out and have a hot lap jam of sorts, see what times improve with Charles in the running. Not to mention all the extra experience you guys have running that track surely we’ll see a shake up

Big build idea for the future: a dedicated recovery rig. Either like a flat bed that tilts with a winch, or maybe a tow crane arm. It should be heavy, slow, 4x4, and have at least 2 seats so you can give the recovered person a ride. I would love to see it.

I had a Dingo when I was a kid. My old man got it for 25 bucks off the side of the road. It had a Tecemseh that he was barely able to get running. It never would idle in the cold weather; the pull starter broke so many times, but I had a blast with that go kart. I would love to find a deal like this one that you guys found! Great video, and brought back a lot of good memories.

Love the dingo stuff. I had a first gen dingo with 8hp briggs & 40 series torque converter. it was a blast.

I agree with you guys on that chain break tool. It's the nicest one I've ever had.

Great $50 buy Carson!!! If you use the trail by the pond, I predict at some point someone will end up in the pond. Be careful. I look forward to seeing more content with the new trails.

Word of advice for cutting woods trails I have cut miles if you think it's wide enough make it 3 feet wider on both sides you'll need it, and take a 4 wheeler and go cut the trail in with a bigger machine before the go carts !! It will soften up the ruts and make short burms for the turns the go carts washout alot no weight!!, open up the foliage around the trail so you can see a corner ahead 😉 it looks awesome out there, that's my favorite time cutting in new trails, !!!

‘This might be the best $50 go kart we ever bought’ gets my attention. Haven’t been too into the drag kart series but this is up my alley. 👍

You guys have inspired me to dig out my old go cart that I bought 25 years ago I’m working on getting it going I bought a Honda engine for 50 bucks used but it runs well and has a live axle and originally just had a centrifugal force clutch on it I was thinking about switching over to a torque converter all depends on cash flow

Heck of a deal. Best kart deal I ever found was a 2 seat Manco with a 6hp Tecumseh, AND a new in box Predator 212...for $300 bucks. Swapped on the Pred and gave it a spit it for the summer....and sold it for $600.

Understand the important of a budget build and certainly nothing wrong with a pre stretch racing chain. If you want to go the extra mile… O-ring, x-ring chain. Will hold up to 450 dirt bikes no problem even. Will stretch very minimally after install and first few rides but after that initial small small stretch you’re never stretching it again. And it’s less “janky” doesn’t waddle around as much.
