THE TRUTH ABOUT SALTA ARGENTINA: Why everyone is talking about it

In this video we show our time exploring the city of Salta in Argentina. We spent two weeks in total living in this city but in that time we hired two cars and explored the surrounding nature. This video is all about the actual city itself. It’s a big city with a lot to do. We did a lot but as always still wished we could do more!

This is the city to visit if you want to experience a Piña and we highly recommend the one we visited, it was a great experience!

Next time!

Join us next time as we talk about our food journey in Argentina, as a vegetarian and a non vegetarian.

A British couple from just outside London, England. We got married in 2018 and decided instead of a honeymoon we’d travel the world together. We saved money and travel points, quit our jobs, rented our house out and boarded a one way flight in 2020. We started this Youtube channel to share our experiences with friends, family and anyone who plans to travel to the places we’re visiting. We leave TKT tips/facts in our vlogs and blogs to give information that we wish we’d had before visiting. We hope you find our content fun & useful :)

You missed one last big church in Salta, the Iglesia de la Viña, which is similar to the red and yellow one but blue and bigger.

And also, what you have noticed about all towns having a main square in the center is not exclusive to Argentina, it is the typical Spansh colonial layout. The Spanish built all their towns in the American continent with a central square that would be surrounded by the main church and all the important government buildings, and then the town would grow around that.

So awesome to see Argentina through your eyes. I think it's wild that you've been there for so long and there's still more to see and do. The blue dollar dance seems so annoying and a bit of a negative aspect or inconvenience. I hate carrying cash too when I travel. The scenery and landscape there is amazing so I look forward to some of the round-up videos you're going to do especially interested in the care hire and vegetarian tips.

We are taking 4-5 years traveling between Mexico and Argentina, in search of our favorite retirement city. We have lived in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. Argentina is fun to research but it is hard to narrow down all of the choices. We prefer cool/cold weather but Mendoza and Salta, even with it’s hot summer, is still very high on our list. What do you think….good place for a retired couple ?

Thanks for a great video. I checked in to remind myself of my stay there in March 2022. I expected to see many of the landmarks you pointed out, but the brief clip of the same apartment I stayed in was a complete surprise!! (Paula was the host I think? she was really helpful)
