That character you asked about from dice thrones is the shop keeper from Dice thrones adventures. After you complete a portal crawl you would visit her to upgrade your deck with more powerful cards or unique items. She isn't currently a playable character.

Great list. 7 Wonders Duel is my favorite 2-player only game. We also enjoy Paris La Citie De La Lumiere and Patchwork, (a couple 2 player only games), which utilize polyomino tile placement and Codenames Duet. Paris has a head-to-head feel to it as you spend the first round placing tiles with your color (as well as a neutral color and your opponent's color) and drafting tiles and then the second round placing those tiles, but you can only place them covering your color and the neutral color. Any tiles leftover at the end of the game are negative points. You score points for having buildings next to street lamps and special abilities you pick up during the 2nd round as well. It can be frustrating when you set up an area in the first round to use for one of your shapes and then in the 2nd round your opponent steals that area (using the neutral color) and you have to change plans and maybe use a special ability to fix the issue.

My wife and I also play a ton of multiplayer games at 2-player. Some of our other favorites are: Welcome To the Moon, Legendary Encounters Firefly, Meadow, Atlantis Rising, Spirit Island, Gloomhaven, and Wingspan (particularly with Asia expansion)
