Great vid, I have the same notebook i5 3230 2.6 ghz. GT 635m 2gb DDR3, 8 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz ram. Everything is great except the HDD. It's slowing down the system, so I'm going to replace it with an SSD Drive.

Hi Dani, I was wondering how easy it is to change the HDMI port is on this model? It stopped working a few weeks after I got it and after a few years of using VGA and adapters/ hard drives to watch things on my TV, I've had enough. Is it easy enough or quite complicated? Thanks.

I upgraded ram in lenovo G580 4gb to 8 gb but it shows only 3.4 gb usable I did msconfig advanced memory setting unchecked. Still shows only 3.4 gb usable?

Good job, I just replaced keyboard . Clone to a SSD. Upping the ram to 16Gb. Ordered an i7 currently Pentium b950.. what wifi card did you get?

I own a Lenovo G580 and currentlz have 8GB of RAM. Haven't opened the laptop yet, but I guess I have 2x4GB. Can I check if this is true? I am not sure... which is the maximum? I would like to upgrade to 16GB. I have read somewhere that only 8GB are supported.
