Speaking to India Today, senior counsel Vidushpat Singhania said he is hopeful that the Court of Arbitration of Sport will announce a landmark verdict in Vinesh Phogat's case. The CAS's verdict on Vinesh's appeal is expected to be out on Tuesday, August 13. Vinesh appealed against her disqualification and requested she be awarded a joint silver medal.

Two wrongs can not make one right.if it was wrong that prior to the final vinesh had 100 gm weight over and above 50 kg as prescribed under the rules and was disqualfied then it wss also wrong that to whom vinesh had defeated in the semi final within the weight as prescribed under the Rules then under what Rule defeated player has been qualiied for the final. Therefore vinesh deserves to be awarded a silver medal.Moreover Rules are meant to do justice and to prevent injustice.Hopefully if there is no politics from behind the secene then definitely if not gold then al least silver deserves to be given to her.The only fear is that why judgement is not being announced .it may not be due to this fact in the event of no medal to her there should not be anodolan or protests on or before 15th. August and indian govt. could celebrate independence day peacefully..
