GIR NATIONAL PARK - Seeing lions in India!

Did you know there are lions in India? The Asiatic lion can only be found in the wild in Gir National Park, Gujarat. 

I stayed at Asiatic Lion Lodge and spent a few days in nature - bird watching, on safari and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside of Gujarat. 

This was my first time in Gujarat!

India is the only country in world with almost all big cats. Bengal Tigers, Gir Lions, (Mountain, Clouded, etc.) Leopards, almost extinct Cheetah (thanks to the God saved Queen), Panthers, Jaguars, etc.

An Interesting fact about our great nation is that,
INDIA is the only country to have Lion and Tiger both in one country naturally in wild : )
