15:00 This is why the Master Ball is so rare, it requires a lot of testing and quality control.

Crazy how someone with passion and skills can create something better than a company with an indefinite amount of money and resources. This is something all fans have been wanting since the beginning of Pokemons popularity. Amazing job!

Unwanted criticism from others aside, you are probably the only person that has been this close to an actual functioning pokeball. I cant even describe how much i was smiling when i saw you throw the regular pokeball and it was working 😭 these are so cool just the pokeballs themselves but WITH funcionality? I mean cmon gotta be the coolest thing ive seen

My heart broke when you said you were disappointed, I know that look too, you’re so incredibly close but in your eyes it’s still not perfect, this was an amazing experiment and you shouldn’t let these set backs hold you back from what you’d like to achieve. Your camera person was right it’s still a success and you had real animatronic pokeballs. That’s so cool.

I think the only way to make it shrinkable is to make the outside work like a tire. So, if you press the button, something inside pumps air into it and inflates the outer layer, and if you press it again it sucks the air making it shrink. With this, this might also reduce the impact inside the ball so it can resist some of the impact.

I think it would be really hard to make, since the outer layer can't be pure resin this time (or maybe it still can... idk).

But then again, I have no idea how to create these things, just a college dude who watches anime with the power of imagination.

Forgot to add, this is top tier quality. It takes great passion and skill to pull off these things. I'll salute and sub.

I don't care that they're not truly throwable. You made pokeballs that open and shut on their own, and simulate successfully catching or failure to catch a Pokemon. These are so unbelievably cool.

With the charger port, you could totally make a charging dock that's the machine in the pokemon center that heals the pokemon :D

1st of all- I would totally buy this. Those look absolutely amazing and my inner child is going crazy

2nd - I think a cool idea for the 3rd iteration could be a wireless charging coil, and when it senses it’s being wirelessly charged (or charged if you decide to remove the port), it plays the pokecenter healing sound

I hope Nintendo or Game Freak don't sue you. This is so cool and so much clever and hard work went into this.

My inner child thanks you for making it real. The old pokeballs they sold were underwhelming. Yours was the real deal as my kid mind would have been in love. The pokeball having 33% is so freaking awesome would been a great time with friends. GOOD JOB!!

As someone who works in consumer electronics, this is absolutely awesome! I work with speakers, which of course are not meant to be thrown. But still require a certain level of durability. Hope you're not discouraged and continue to make cool stuff!

Great job, they look awesome. A few thoughts about the throwing:

- The wiggle weight broke off because of its own inertia. It either needs to be fixed to the servo arm more securely, or supported against an adjacent surface when not moving

- Ideally there would be a mechanical latch to hold it closed, so that no force from impact is ever transmitted through the servo arm. It could open with a spring and only use the servo to close it, although I guess you'd need a stronger servo

The ‘real life pokeball’ is really something that’s eluded us for decades, but this might be the coolest, most accurate replica. Very impressive engineering and modeling.

I've just discovered you. You're someone who has really impressed me on YouTube for the first time in a long time. You can be proud of yourself. I'm really impressed and fascinated. Keep it up! 😊

Pokemon company should be embarrassed and shocked that one of us lowly fans made something they couldn’t

this is honestly one of the coolest fanmade pokeballs i think i have ever seen. one of my biggest issues with fanmade pokeballs tend to be that there isn't usually any care for the actual electronic elements of them, and while that is understandable, it's amazing to see someone build one that actually functions as it is intended to. seeing how much thought and care went into putting so much into such a (relatively) small creation is really incredible.

Now you just need to genetically engineer real life pokemon in a lab!

Please continue with this project. You are so insanely close to making the first ever acceptable working pokeball prop! This one is already leagues better than anything out there and Im honestly shocked its taken this long to happen over the years even with the great challenge. You're so close, have made such progess so quickly, and the satisfaction of your working 100 percent vision and having all of these prototypes will end up being even more satisfying in the end. We are here to support! Amazing job. 🎉

So cool!

Idea, not a nitpick… but you could probably hide the “wiggler” as a C-shaped weight in the top shell that swings back and forth like a hidden windshield wiper. Having a higher center of gravity would give you a more extreme wiggle.
I’m not sure how hard it would be to integrate something like that because a big chunk of the top would need to be hollowed out, but it’s just an idea I had.

That’s why I love these things… they get me excited to think and problem solve and come up with ideas too!

That said, I think your pokeballs are amazing and basically perfect. It’s all just spice and refinement from here if you ever decided to revisit. I don’t think they need it. I’d totally buy one as is if I could afford it! I think your work is worth more than I have… haha
At minimum I’d want to pay you 200-250$ for one of them, but I’m broke as hell.
