1) It is just like profit and loss account
2) it is nominal account in nature
Thus all the incomes and gains will be credited and all the expenses and losses are debited
3) it is maintained on accrual basis
Thus, only current year transactions will be considered
4) Both cash and noncash transactions are recorded here
5) Transactions of only revenue nature are recorded
Thus all capital nature expenditures and incomes will be ignored.

1) real account in nature
Thus, debit what comes in (reciepts side) and credit what goes out( payments side)
2) maintained on cash basis
Thus, transaction related to any year will be recorded here.

Thus, no room for non cash or credit transactions
