Will the Government issue me a Gas Mask?

I got asked in a comment earlier why bother buying a gas mask when the government will give you one for free?
How do you know your Government will issue you a gas mask in times of crisis?
If they do will they give you your mask before something bad happens?
Going on historical evidence it's pretty safe to assume that most governments will not issue you a mask.

While talking about USSR, civilians may had gas masks, but they didnt use them when they needed. For example Kyshtym disaster or Chernobyl.

Fast forward to Spring 2020 and we can see exactly why you don’t wait expecting the government to provide you with a mask.
We see now that the government doesn’t even have enough masks and PPE for themselves and the hospitals.

Great video! BTW i have an idea for some videos. I think it would be cool if you made survival scenario Videos like explaining what to do during a certain type of attack. Like for a nerve gas attack you would wear a full NBC suit and carry Atropine (if you could get your hands on it)

one thing i don't understand is you can be protected form nuclear particles with a gas mask ? my mom is a funeral director and when ever a body been decomposing for a couple days the smell is so bad she has to buy a special m40 filter for her gas mask and i had to come help her and i watched a couple of you vidios and was wondering how you can be protected from nuclear particles?

Can you wear the second world war German Wehrmacht gas masks without their filters and will they be safe to wear without the filters? I also have some British masks i want rid of and as i live in the UK will be more than happy to send them to you as you could put them to better use.
