Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an address to Indian community members at the Ronald Regan Building in Washington on Friday, announced that the United States will open new consulates in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The big announcement comes days after the US said it intends to open two new consulates to "boost people-to-people relationships".

In the US, India and its people and culture has gained much respect. I’m amazed. Indian restaurants are crowded with Indians and regular Americans. My old Mexican mom really enjoyed Indian food. She liked it better than Chinese. She also liked the Indians who worked in these restaurants. They always showed great courtesy afforded to older folks. The moms was very big on skills with social interactions. She is Mexican. They really liked that kind of social grace.
