Multiversus is DEAD? (How It Failed Its Players)

I want to talk about Multiversus and the many issues that are leaving players feeling unsatisfied with the current state the game is in, which is a real shame because the gameplay is extremely fun. But, I also think these issues can be fixed.

I agree that the game has issues, especially server issues, but content is still being made and it still has a player base that consistently plays. I have my fair share of criticisms but I don't see it as dead, I do hope the game gets another massive boost in active players though

Also I know a lot of other people are overly defensive, and I understand why, but I feel it's best to listen to all sides and stay as civil as possible

Kinda their fault for releasing an unfinished game but people get so impatient expecting a character every day but I hope it will make a return

Yesterday I played DNF and the matchmaking never find me an oponent after several minutes.... that is a dead game. In this case, the matchmaking find oponents in less than 15 seconds. That's why I don't think Multiversus is NOT dead.

9:00 thing funny thing is this game wasn't even supposed to be a wb title until wb got their hands on it. So you can't really say greed is the major factor that really comes down to wb pushing this game to have characters released around the time of a particular film to advertise and the lack of proper reps in this game is staggering.

Crazy to me what the definition of a “dead” game is to people. I don’t think Multiversus fits this bill at all. Content still actively being made, the team is working their asses off, servers do suck rn but a fix is coming soon, still thousands of players from steam alone (the console numbers are much higher), yeah… can’t really call MVS dead. People assume dead because a game doesn’t keep Fortnite numbers LMAO like it’s a fighting game ofc it’s gonna be a bit more niche, they all are

As somebody who has spend more time that he’s probably should’ve on this game I’ll tell u this.the appeal of this game was there I feel.and for the grind it takes to get most the characters I think it throws the casual player off from wanting to try a little bit of everyone

Imo if at least one person is playing a game it’s not dead I don’t see the idea of any game dead with that in mind.

This is absurd... we don't have the console player counts.. I find matches in literal seconds...I'd say the game has 20k users a day...that's far from dead.Stop spouting nonsense

My main issue is that it’s just a repetitive grind. Your playing the same 3 game modes over and over again and it gets tiresome. Ik we got arcade and ranked recently but these are game modes that should’ve been released at launch. Arcade is fine but it’s nothing too special and ranked for the most part is ok but again it’s basic game modes that should’ve been in there at launch. On top of that most of the characters are unbalanced. Like I’m a shaggy main myself and he’s literally the equivalent of Vader from battlefront 2. Even when a new character gets added they either end up being unbalanced or end up being broken. Not to mention how bad the hitboxes and servers are. Plus it doesn’t make any sense as to why all of the good skins are locked behind a paywall when a majority of them should’ve been in the pass to begin with. Overall the game promised soo much in the beginning like arcade, tournament mode, ranked, guilds, dungeons but unfortunately delivered soo little. Rn this game at least needs its own story mode

lets no forget the elephant in the room, them region locking asia is a reason why the player base isnt as huge, and they basically killed the hype for us

1. no ranked play
2. lack of content/maps
3. terrible monitization
4. its competitive focus being on 2v2 is a turnoff to the audience that it doesnt even have, why? its a mess to watch and is all over the place

This is kind of lame, game is not dead and it’s easily surpassing most fighting games current populations (on steam alone), but we compare it to shooters and games like Fortnite that are filled with kids?

the game is still on Beta, how many people can say that have form part in helping the Devs to find and fox bugs, skins are optional, they dont help in your playstyle but pure cosmetic, also, its Free ..
