Its an interesting choice of a battle. I'm torn between Pydna and Cynoscephalae as battles that demonstrated the superiority and flexibility of the Roman manipular system over the Macedonian Phalangite Phalanx. Though Pydna was more decisive in ending Macedon, and Pydna was undoubtedly more decisive in victory "tokens" with the capture of Perseus, Cynocephalae arguably broke Macedon's hegemony over northern Greece. A bit like the Third Punic War finishing Carthage, but the Second Punic War breaking its back before hand.

Kotis II a Thracian king in the Odrysian Kingdom from 202 to 162 BC He participated in the battles of Kinoskefale and Pydna in 197 BC and 168 BC as an ally of the Macedonian kingdom kings Philip V and Perseus . Plutarch says that during the battle of Pydna Kotis II commanded the left wing of the allied anti-Roman armies which consisted of his subordinates Thracian troops and parts of Macedonia falanga.Po during the battle occurred Thracians first wore black tunics and armor and are scared immensely son in law of the Roman general Lucius Aemilius Paul Publius Aemilius Nazika who fought in this area commanded by Licinius Crassus . Thracian troops defeated the Roman wing of the Thracians and captured many Roman soldiers and officers even though the Macedonian phalanx lost the battle. Kotis Bityus II had a son who also participated in the Battle of Pydna in 168 BC but fought on the right wing and was captured by rimlyante and taken to Rome. Meanwhile Cotys headed his army against Roman allies also Thracians soap, etc. Denteleti . which troops smashed his army and impose his will. Thrace's rouster have 1 type of unit - the Two-handed Flax sword.
The Thracian, Dacian tribes have the best inf charge in the game.
In MP the thracian Flaxmen have huge charge using 2 handed weapons - the oarthsworn is down to 90 from 120 men in the first 10-20 sec in 1v1 battle. A nice thing in rome MP tactics :P

i think they will release a germanic arabic and british culture pack soon, because in the steam db are 2 or 3 DLCs wich aren't announced yet.

well, looks like you were pretty far off the mark lol. i'm glad for it too (no offence of course), just that i'm pretty sick of fighting barbarians. by all means add more variety to barbarian factions, but personally i think a mini-campaign focused more in the east would be a welcome change of pace.

in the meantime, gotta get prepped to wreck some heads with my thracians!
