That 2015 Mustang is looking pretty damn good and both Europe and us here in the US will get that new 2.3L 4 cylinder engine! Kia is about to give the green light to two of its newest concepts, and Spyker is planning a crossover, hopefully it looks better than that "Peking to Paris" Concept SUV they mad, ugh...Also, a Lamborghini Murcielago burst into flames in China and apparently you can buy a car while flying 36,000ft in the air. That's all today on Fast Lane Daily, hosted by Derek D!

Yeah, they were kind of in between. I guess it was because whether 2 or 4 door, they were equally large.

Is the 2015 Mustang designed be the same team created Track Mania Canyon?

i wonder if the new ford engine is going to be the mzr 2.3 disi turbo engine from the mazdaspeed 3/6, maybe with a few modifications, because isnt duratec and ecoboost both based of the mzr platform

So will FORD bring back the "LX" version for the Mustang as well. The LX used to be the Mustang with all the "go fast" but none of the "fluff". It would be very cool to see that again.

Ok, I referred to them but I still don't understand why it would be unacceptable. Is it a sacrilege for mustang owners or something? My reasoning is If it makes more hp than the v6 model and better mpg, so why not?

i remember in 2007 or 2008 the V8 mustang came with 300hp and this 4 cyl eco-boost will produce the same 300hp... plus its not the 1st time ford put a 4 cyl engine in the Mustang

Chevy's 4 trapezoid-ish lights aren't "copying", it's keeping an underlying chevy theme so when you see it you go "Hey that's a Chevy! No other car brands have lights like that!". And as for the Mustang, it still has those qualities that make you go "Hey that's a mustang!" (i.e. Angled lights, "mean" looking exterior, overall "beefy" look to it.) Just because a few things here and there are angled a bit more now doesn't mean it's an Aston now. (BTW who wouldn't want an Aston for 25k anyways?)

In 1996? The production Mustang GT only made 280hp. The 4.6L V8 was not opened up to 305hp until 1998 or 99. You could get eh SVT Cobra and Cobra R which did do over 300hp, but these would special limited run cars. Today a V6 Mustang will make 305, but could easily be opened to over 330hp. The 5.0 GT of course makes 420-444hp, depending on variant.

I see...As a car enthusiast I can respect that. In a sense it's like breaking a tradition that's been past from generation to generation. I guess for me I don't mind either way. But hopefully this means we'll see a more powerful, lighter, agile, faster mustang. Of course it has to be able to do burnouts too. Thanks for explaining that.

2.3L will run on a high pressure turbo. It will probably develop as much if not even more power and torque than current 3.7L V6 in the base trim, but at even better fuel economy. Case in point, Mercedes' new 2.0L turbo cranking out 355 HP and 350ft-lb torque while able to return up to 35MPG highway.

Is it just me that remembers the SVO Mustang from the mid 80's? Turbo 4cyl... excellent handling and just as fun of a car as the v8 in the day. Most people that drove one will tell ya that. Sure its not a v8, don't mean it cant be cool.

1: Mustang have been around for 50 years not 100. 2: 1999 to 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra had IRS (a lot like the 93-98 Mark VIII and T-bird) . Many owners removed it from their modded Cobras to swap back a live axle to handle 700 to 1000hp without breaking. That's why they stopped it for the next generation of SVT Mustang (GT500). 3 : Nobody except you, wants the next Mustang to be as big and heavy as the Taurus SHO. 4 Ford is developing an Ecoboost Twin Turbo Coyote for the Cobra Jet. look for it!
