When all else fails read instructions. I would put the wingnut center together before putting the legs on the unit

To bad there isn't a temperature gage on the cover
I want to put this type of grill on top of the
EcoZoom Rocket Stove I want to use wood instead of charcoal for baking. will this unit work without the legs? I would use it instead of the coalman oven. Thoughts?

I have a smokey joe and just upgraded to a jumbo joe and all I can say is, for travel and cooking out the jumbo is awesome....the smokey is slightly too small for me,
