PARTYNEXTDOOR’s new album PARTYNEXTDOOR 3 (P3) released last week to mixed reviews. Drake, Noah “40” Shebib, ILLANGELO, Nineteen85, Neenyo and more serve as contributors on the project, which leans heavy of the blues side of R&B. Another producer who contributed to album, Murda Beatz, liberates a new slow-winding track with vocals from the OVO Sound singer/songwriter.

For the record his mother is Jamaican and his dad is from Trinidad. He is completely entitled to hop onto this island wave and make fucking bops like this because it is culturally relevant to him, and he's exceptional at it.

4 years ago I was finding myself while listening to this. 4 years later I realize, I do not find, I create myself. My love for myself will grow, idk what it is about this song but it fills me with comfort. I'm learning. 20 and I feel so much. Just The start. Be present. Be here. I'm ok. I am calm with my present reach, for I will have more reach with every teaching. Party has always had a place in my heart. I felt I could meditate through his music and I think that's why I am still here years later.

I think most the people that dislike this song CANT understand what he's saying and doesn't understand the lyrics TBH & y'all say y'all want that "old partynextdoor" y'all not real fans. Just because he's finally expressing his Jamaican roots this song is bad? Y'all kill me. Partynextdoor is a GREAT artist especially when he shows his Jamaican side off. Nothing but respect for him and his music

Ya'll need to respect what an artist wants to do with his music as he evolves & moves forward, foh with all that hate ya'll have just because he sounds different now, truth is no artist will stay the same they will always move forward & have different ideas. ya'll too stuck in the past with his old music, just enjoy the music

Y'all are sleeping. PND hasn't dropped anything that disappointed me. Nothing but greatness coming from him ✨🐐

My dad used to drive to Mississauga every day from our epic house in Grand Valley, all through my childhood . I used to go into work with him occasionally so that I could shop at Square One all day . I always loved that mall, and often I'd take a bus into downtown Toronto from there to explore around the city . I always felt extremely blessed to return to the woods at night though .
