There is never a week that goes by that we don't hear from people about how money has vanished from their bank account because of big, bad Zelle. I spoke with my bank today USBank ... The banker was stunned that I wanted to turn it off. She acknowledged that I was completely open to fraud with no liability from the bank. I'm a new member of US bank Having been with union bank. She will investigate and get back to me next week. Thanks very much for this information. I worry about how many people are ignorant to the enormous risk. I would never have known had it not been for you.

I use Zelle to pay known vendors and have never had any issues.

Great video Clark! If I see Zelle, I automatically assume it's a scam. Zelle protects the bank, not the customer. Banks love it. Your advice is spot on. Run, don't walk, away from Zelle.

Thank you Clark. I was just scammed $1200 from my bank account vis Zelle and as a Senior Citizen and a Veteran I am left with nothin. I reported to my bank but I don't think I get my money back

I was a victim of a Zelle scam in November 2022 and lost $3780 to a scammer who was claiming to be a Zelle customer service representative. Guess what??? My bank would not reimburse me my money. They down right refuse. I lost $3780, down the drain! My bank turned their back on me! I am not a rich person and this has caused a lot of stress for me, still 2 months later now.

I use Zelle through my bank. I created a savings account to link up to Zelle, but I only keep the bare minimum to maintain that account. When I need to send money to a known recipient, I make a transfer deposit an send it immediately. That recipient has a similar setup at their end.

It was quite simple to deactivate Zelle with my Credit Union, They did it with no questions asked.

My SC credit Union has it and I am so glad I saw this. I am going to take action in the morning.

Always use 2 factor authentication on your bank accounts, very difficult to circumvent. If they can't get into your account they cannot use Zelle.

Thanks Clark for informing us about dangerous Zelle. My bank has a click on that allows you to sign up. My one struggling son asks to borrow money a few times a year and was going yo sign up to make it easier. God bless you for all the great work.

I called my military banking - there is no way to delete or de-activate Zelle on the app. No way to disable it. I talked banking customer service then website tech. I referred your video to them. I'll be calling tomorrow to talk with the head honchos at my bank. Thanks Mr Howard!

I never heard reasoning why zelle is bad. My understand is that it allows you send money from your bank account to someone else, not unlike paypal. Are you saying someone can remotely attach zelle onto your bank and withdraw your money?

I sent money to a friend with Zelle, nothing bad happened but I just read the lack of protections and I’m getting rid of it!!
