How to overclock AND undervolt the RTX 3060

#rtxoverclock #3060oc

Wazzup everybody welcome back to the channel, today we are going through the process of overclocking and undervolting the Asus Phoenix RTX 3060 GPU.
We will be looking first of all at the best possible manual overclock we can reach with this card and then we will try to keep those same frequencies while undervolting the GPU.
Undervolting is a great way to reduce power, heat, and noise from your system. You can either undervolt at default settings or you can do undervolting with overclocked frequencies which is what we are gonna do today.
This tutorial will obviously work for any card, even if we are focusing on the 3060 RTX.

You can buy the ASUS PHOENIX 3060 RTX here:

What about you all? do you prefer overclocking, undervolting or both ? Let me know in the comments below, i would also be interested at the max frequencies you guys were able to get with this card.
P.s. small error in the video: instead of microvolts i obviously meant millivolts
It is possible to enhance the curve since some games might use the lower part of the curve: so you can give every point to the left of the sweet spot, the same offset (+225 MHz for example)

Brother, this by far the most straight forward: step-by-step video tutorial that I’ve come across! And its not even a “seperate” video for OC and UV. This was awesome and very informative video! Thank you very much! I will try both method later on my EVGA 3060 XC (12GB).

I hope my “values” would be stable enough to keep up on Warzone. 😅 But you deserve more subscribers and likes! Keep up the good work brother! Stay safe and take care!

I'm really confused by this video. Could you do one where you just undervolt the card to remove confuse cause by mixing the two together? Also the background music makes it hard to understand what you are saying.

Doesn't starting off with a negative core clock curve and adjusting only until higher voltages leave the card to underclock at lower voltages? Some games don't get up to the higher values and this would only serve to lower their performance.

Thank you for the video. It was really helpful when I tried to OC & Undervolted my RTX 3060 recently. My Asus Dual RTX 3060 OC wasn't able to produce similar number though. My final but stable settings were : 2062 mhz / 1.031 mV / +1000 (memory clock). This translates to about 5% FPS increase in Warzone 1440p and GPU temp dropped about 3 degrees.

Will this work on the laptop RTX 3060? I have a Legion 5 Pro 16 with a Ryzen 7 5800H, that I need to make as sedate as possible. I always use it on my lap, but it's WAY to powerful for me. I bought a gaming laptop, because regular laptops use White keyboard backlights, which just look blurry to me due to corneal disease; so, I needed one that had colored lights.

9:10 mV = Millivolts. Microvolts would be μV ;)

Great video! I wish you chose flat bar style in your graphs, those shiny spots at the end of the 3D bars are very distracting :)
I undervolted my both Lenovo 3060 and 12600k, so both are running cool and quite, plus the fan of PSU in Eco mode doesn't turn on. Gpu in games stays under 60 degrees at minimal 30% fan speed.

Hello friend, what happens if I overclock the GPU??

RTX 2060 best OC undervolt just get 75w but Performance max and temp just 46° C

Can I use your undervolt and overclock settings also for my rtx 3060?

Great video and easy to follow. I am using a Zotac 3060 Twin Edge 12GB. Changed to values from stock to 1100MHz Mem, 2070 MHz Core Clock undervolting at 1025 mV. I get no artifact so I think I nailed it. Temps are still same from stock so had to bump the fan speeds by 5.

I didn't read the chat and after ask you I found the comment of this video, thanks!!

I bought this card last week it keeps going to 80 degree after 1 hour and fan speed start raising at +72 so I tried under clock and under volt but didn't lower temp as I wanted and my gpu keeps running at more than 75 while full load, so I decided to use msi afterburner fan curve and after that temps never goes above 66 degree, you think I should keep using that custom fan curve or letting gpu goes +75 all the time? does using that fan curve reduce gpu fan lifespan? thanks

You explained it perfectly! Tinkering with my new 3090 and this was a tremendous help! Thank you!

I bought this card in bundle with i5-12400 and Asus B660Plus D4 mobo for 770 Euro three days ago!!
now i'm waiting for delivery and can't wait to get it all installed on my computer

hey do you know why my msi afterburner shows 210 mhz for gpu and 405 mhz for ram, even though I have the same card? Sometimes it switches from 1777 mhz and 7500 mhz

I've that exact card, I should be able to match settings with you and be fine?

I'm glad I have the same card so I can see if I've lost or won the silicon lottery.

Usually I undervolt so I can have a more silent GPU, because mine is always under load with how much I render, unfortunately the ASUS Phoenix somehow manages to always stay at 40-42% fan speed regardless what load it is under, so with 40% being the minimum it can work at, it's already the most silent it can be...
