I had first heard this song when I was a little boy. I must have been 6 or 7— this was just another song back then. It played from a cassette in a tape recorder which we called “two-in-one”. I didn’t find it melodious or wondered at the brilliance back then.But 32 years later, today, as an adult, this song beams memories of my childhood—the innocence, absence of worries, worries only of my studies and school. How much I wish now to go back to being that small boy running around in my house—a house now sold together with memories—while my parents talked important matters and kept me away from all that and this song plays again. It’s magical how sounds from an earlier time pulls you back into that precise time.
