“These people honors me with their lips, but their heart are far away from Me” (Matt. 15.8).
Self-righteousness is a dangerous sin which keeps us from experiencing true relationship with the God who made us (Jn. 5:39-40). If being “saved” is upholding a set a rules which man makes or trusting in our own goodness to merit God’s salvation, then I’d rather be lost. Jesus alone, through the sacrificial work of the cross, atones for our sins and it’s by grace, through faith in Christ, which we are saved!

The hook is I think I rather be lost?? I know it’s making a point but out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So I’m just speaking, I’d rather find Jesus and the true meaning of the cross! As a Christian I can’t keep this melody in my mind because I can’t believe for one second I’m lost. I understand we’re this song is coming from just as a believer I always have to renew my mind and I can’t with this song. LOVE YOUR MUSIC! Keep making hits for JESUS CHRIST!!!!
