I was born in 1993. I started playing football in ‘99 as a striker and as a child Owen was my hero. Broke my heart when he left and was quickly replaced by Gerrard. When he joined United I couldn’t have cared less about him

I disliked him from the moment he went to newcaslte. 12 months prior he was leaving for trophies. The united move was just the final nail in the coffin. Came through the academy knows first hand how important the rivalry is, knew better and still went.

Newcastle fans have more reason to hate Owen tbf, the way he treated their club and the way he speaks about them now is pretty disgusting

Owen was a big reason how I fell in love with LFC as just a kid in early 2000's

Paul Ince done the same and tarnished his United time. Don’t hate him though.

He didn't owe Liverpool anything. It's not like they jumped on him and signed him when Newcastle let him go.

He asked to comeback to the club and the club said no. So I see it from both angles. I did love him at the Pool with Heskey, they were serious together.

No, he is forgiven in my book. It was also a question of Liverpool FC not wanting him back.

personally it hurt more when he went to newcastle than it did going to man utd because i could understand it more, then after seeing his interviews and reading his book you get alot more clearer picture whether you like it or not, he's still one of my hero's and the reason i support liverpool.

So, Owen fucked off to Spain and we win the champions league. “15 mins that Shook the world.” Ripped it out of him too. Love that movie

Owen spent his best years at Liverpool and then Real Madrid. But he’s not a legend because he played for Man Utd. Hate is a strong word but he’s not that likeable anyway tbf

This is too much

You have to give people to fulfill their ambition

He was rejected by liverpool twice before he went to Newcastle and after to Man utd and he deeply regretted and its not a direct transfer and in any aspect he show his admiration to liverpool reds let's accept and forget him.

Its not the united move for me...its when he left for Madrid to win trophies as he said when we were rebuilding under rafa. And the year he left we kept stevie and won old big ears
