You never want your club face square to your target. You want your club face slightly open so you can release the club easily. All great golfers always have their club face open to the target line at address.

Club face should always be slightly open at set up.

The "tip" is to hit the ball in the direction you want it to go.

Should the clubface slightly tilted at setup or should the clubface be perpendicular to the ground? Thank you so much.

I'm a weirdo....I find it easier to hit straight and more powerful shots when my clubface is a bit more open at set up. I guess it's the compensation

Grip, is probably more important to alignment than anything. If your closed or open in your grip, the target won't matter.

You know he’s right. But anybody knows this.
What you have to do. Well. There are many things you have to do. But. One thing. As far as squaring up the club face is maintain that square club face position throughout the back swing and down swing. You definitely don’t want to have a death grip on the club.
Just be aware of that.
Another thing is. You may want a slightly and I mean slightly. Fractionally open club face at impact. And I mean slightly.

What an athletic sport. (As sarcasm kicks in, it's a skill)

This play is a playing professional? You ever hear the term dress for success? You look like someone’s drunk uncle that just rolled off or a bar stool.
