Intermittent fasting can be an amazing tool to help people lose body fat. Here’s how I implement it in my practice: My general advice to my patients is to have an eating window of 10 hours per day followed by a 14 hour fasting window overnight. So you could eat for example from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM anywhere from 3 to 5 protein rich meals spaced apart by two to three hours of no calorie consumption. Then you fast overnight and only drink water during this time. To accelerate your progress you can pick one day a week when you shorten your eating window to six hours, so from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for example, and then have an 18 hour fasting window overnight.
