For road cars it is. Ive spent 20 years running at track days as a driving instructor and competitor and the LFA is easily the top 5 cars I've ever driven and heard in my life and ive driven almost everything. Sound is subjective but ive been around long enough to have an extensive sound library in my head and you honestly need to be a donut to have this take, but thats no surprise theyre stayin in their lane.

I do really like how the LFA sounds, but nothing gives me goosebumps like the 787b. I used to be really hard-core into rotary engines when I was a kid/teenager, and the 787 was the first car noise that genuinely caused me to feel an emotion. I still appreciate the wankel engine, but have emotionally come to grips with its flaws.

Wether or not you respect the car itself, you must respect the people who worked on it. Pretty much everyone involved in the development were legends. Let’s not forget that the co-founder of Gazoo Racing and Toyota’s chief test driver lost his life pushing this car to its limits in the pursuit of its ultimate form. RIP Hiromu Naruse!

Yeah the lfa would have been a good contender against the r-35 but it didn't do very well in the end. The motor is an incredible piece of engineering but it was held back by the chassis

Its cool, its fast and it sounds great. I got to ride in 1 a couple times. Sister was some big shot at Lexus Canada and they always bring the LFA for charity golf events.

James, what happened to you mate? The car was never meant to be a comercial success, it was meant to showcase what lexus was capable of. That's why they hired yamaha's piano division to work on the exhaust. Not because they wanted to beat the camry's sales.

Comparing a street car that has to comply with emission laws and still be daily drivable and be able to start every morning at the push of a button to a le mans racecar of the 90s is a very interesting comparasion.
