Cutting business and corporation taxes first doesn't guarantee more jobs. The jobs are generated if the business/corporation decides to scale their business. If they decide not to scale, they profit "bigly". Just because business/corps gets a tax break, it will not force them to start hiring people because they have the extra money. It doesn't work like that, it is based on the business is ready to expand with a proper business model/plan. If businesses/Corp starts hiring and they have no plan or business model, they will not scale properly. They will fail and start laying people off. Business and Economics 101.

First, I'm an avid Donald Trump supporter, however - this dude Steve Mnuchin I dislike, perhaps disdain would be a better word. Yes, I have read his background, it's very easy to find out about him and like you I as well question his - and President Trump's - ulterior motives with this "proposed" tax plan. Because we understand where Mnuchin's head goes, thinking of how to best serve America's lower and middle income people just is not in his wheelhouse, it just isn't where his head is and never will be. His mind has been and likely always will be where and how to find the BIG BUCKS. Concern for the majority of Americans wage earners is not his agenda. I'm jumping sides on this one - going with the Democratic view this plan is ONLY designed for the BIG CORPORATIONS and America's high income people, , it well leave we of the lower to middle income rite where we are - perhaps even worse off. He says this new plan will entice BIG Business to further invest in growth, create more jobs, spend their NOW HUGE profits (IF this plan gets further review) on the working class, , HUMPH! I'm with you who say BS! We ain't buy'n it! I hope this plan is immediately rejected and sent back to anyone other than this financial weasel Steven Mnuchin for a complete rewrite.

Corps should be rewarded when they have a net growth in employees. They are not going to hire more or spend more in building US factories because of a giant tax cut.

If we move from seven to three brackets, I'll be paying 25%. He is raising my taxes. Also, why the fuck do those who make less than $25, 000 get to pay NO taxes? THAT'S UNFAIR!!! Everyone has to pay taxes.

THIS PLAN IS GOOD! ASK ANY REAL ECONOMISTS. THIS MEANS MORE PURCHASING OR SPENDING POWER FOR CITIZENS. PEOPLE WON'T NATURALLY SAVE THIS EXTRA MONEY. THEY WILL SPEND IT. THE MONEY WILL GO TO SALES TAXES, STILL TO THE GOVERNMENT. BUT THE CITIZENS WILL GET SOMETHING OUT OF THAT MONEY. IT'S A WIN-WIN SITUATION FOR EVERYONE.

The question is going to be how much will tax cuts contribute to growth. There is not that much evidence supporting a positive correlation between tax cuts and growth. You also can't solve the debt by cutting taxes. It has never worked.

Go get 'em Tucker!! Mnuchin should have come to this interview with a "for instance" example prepared and ready to share, if he's ever watched Tucker, Hannity or any of the FOX shows he KNEW you would ask yet he hasn't the nuts to give your viewers an example of what this new plan would do for the average Jane and Joe wage earner - let's just say a married couple making $80 to $100k, , tell us what will be the their tax liability?

it's important to note that when this guy says good for the economy he means good for the rich and powerful corporations. I think that he actually believes what he says because he and his ilk do well when taxes are low. I also think that he is totally naive about what happens to the 99% of Americans since he has no experience with that.
