Growing up we had an older lady as a neighbor who offered to drive her lawnmower across the street and do ours when she did hers. She said it helped keep her fit and stay young. My mom was a single mom of 3 and was grateful for the offer. Some people don't have the skill, equipment, or time to do something and that's when neighborly kindness comes in clutch.

I had a neighbor who would do wide turns in my yard in the past, and his mower dug into the soil badly. I spoke with them about it, turns out he was older and sick and moving those mowers isnt easy for an older guy. I ended up helping them do their grass for free until i left. He sadly passed before I moved, but sometimes things dont have to be a conflict, it can be an opportunity to be a blessing. He got more time with his wife before his passing, and spent less time in the yard. Thats literally priceless and i feel honored looking back. I shouldve done more even.

Me and my neighbor have never really spoken to one another much but we slowly encroached mowing into each other's yard the section of year between our houses is the only nice par of either of our yards and we have gotten to the point that we both mow the middle part and it typically looks better than the rest of our yards I have mowed thier back yard when I saw that their mower was broken down to help them out and he has done the same for me in the past when I didnt have a riding mower. As an Introvert he's the perfect neighbor I could have gotten lol.

Have you considered turning the tiny little bit into a flower bed for some insect friendly native plants? Could be a fun project, and native plants need less maintenance than grass
