What a great lesson for the youngsters out there. I was in high school when computer aided drafting first came out, but I always love doing it by hand.

Hey Kevin, Great Video, I loved it. As a Grade 9 Tech teacher I still instruct manual drafting to my students as we take on Sheet Metal Projects and it is a Skill that years later the students always thank me for teaching a classic skill. Cheers and I saved 100's of tools from the school trash.

Nice video. I really liked seeing your collection of projects. I would encourage folks to stay away from the chinese made stuff for reasons to numerous to mention. One would do much better with Staedtler Mars 661 boards made in Germany. If price is an object, just get a t-square and a smooth board with some perpendicular staight edges.

Thanks again!

Kevin. really like the video. Next year I want to teach 5th graders some very basic design for drafting just so they can experience and touch the tools. (Not a draft or engineering background on my part FYI)
Do you have a technique for teaching how to center a drawing. For example one lesson plan would be to draw a 7" by 5" "house border" plus an 2"x 2" garage attached to the house. Could you show how to center any project from the start of the project? Sorry for the naive question
