I own both and the simplex is hands down the easiest machine to swing. Turn it on and go hunting! I have literally shelved my equinox for at least two months since the simplex arrived. The nox is great with all the options but for what I do It’s a bit too much. So whenever I hunt a spot out (so I think) I whip out the nox just to make sure. I want to hunt that’s all, not spend 10 minutes trying to configure settings and notching out things. The simplex delivers that and it’s a quality built detector. Nox is my back up just in case my simplex gets stolen or something. HH y’all

Dug a silver quarter last week in dry hard ground a 9" so not sure what a air test proves. Talked to guys at the beach on a few of my trips that had a simplex and some with At Pro's and they won't go near the wet sand

With VLF unlike Pulse induction, Air test means nothing, they should be tested with in-ground targets.

I'm surprised at how deep both detectors can go!!

Definitely a good starter budget machine I think the multi frequency is the way to go. Would be interesting to put Equinox on lowest single frequency and test it would probably go deeper.

Good stuff. Waiting anxiously for the real live beach test. Come on warm weather! The Gigmaster needs to get back to the beach!

Not much depth difference when you consider the sensitivity levels. Simplex maxed out and Equinox on 22 of 25.

I don't know Gigster, you are hard on your stuff don't think the Simplex will make it. You may want to get two backup Simplex machines. Air tests don't really test a machines ability to work in different types of soil, I do believe the Multi frequency of the Nox will prevail. Simplex seems to be real chatty on other beach tests. I'll wait for your test

Does the wireless Minelab bluetooth headphones work with the Nokta?

Hey gigmaster just wondering if you could give me a suggestion of one of your videos about setting Equinox 800 for searching around my property. It's a 200 year old homesites in South Carolina. I have so much trash in the yard and I'm not the most experienced. If you ever would like to visit South Carolina I'm located in pinopolis South Carolina. I am on Lake Moultrie. This area has a lot of history especially with the Revolutionary War and Francis Marion.
My family watches all of your videos and get notices any time you upload a new one. We love watching the gigmaster

Thanks for sharing, for a machine in that price range, amazing, it will be interesting to see how the symplex holds up in the murky back waters, im guessing you can break it, lol

Are the coils comparable? I understand more coils are going to come out for the simplex.

I have only dug #'s with the Equinox but I'm going to do some sounds now. Looking forward to Nokta in the field.

Steve, send some warm weather up north. Once again great video.
No matter what I'll stick with my EQ 800.
