I almost died laughing when I saw the Vortex drum on the repair bench. I just thrifted a Pyragon and a Praxis, starting another trip down the obscure ammo collection path.

Not going to lie, I am VERY tempted to gut a blaster, clean it thoroughly, and send it your way, saying there is a "rattling sound" only to have the blaster full of skittles XD I joke but love the content Captain!

I can't help picturing that Alien Menace blaster front end with the posts and any ARs removed, loaded with .50 cal foam balls, and stuck onto something with a lot of air volume...
Like you said, make an absolver out of it.
(Hmm...Would an 8-dart Mega XL absolver even be workable?)

I've gotten better at repairing thrift store blasters, but not all of them can be saved. At least parts of them might live on!

You can always reprint the the gear it’s a simple fix, but it’s worth it

Its a shame the sci fi blaster line was so short lived. The Ravager, Incisor were gimmicky as hell but those shells are cool. My its just my 40k hyper fixation, but they'd have made for perfect Tyranid blasters. Bit more chitin than meaty but it'd work.

Couldn't you just 3d print a new gear and fix the blaster?
