His dad kept saying “that ain’t Christ like” and Kanye said on the second verse “but nobody ever tells you when you’re being like Christ”

Those ending words really hit me as a black man. Owning that much land is truly a marvelous accomplishment.

Pastor with Jesus banging Kanye's new song, best crossover in my whole life.

Slaves were promised 40 acres and a mule after the civil war. Kanye has 4000 acres and a mule, and an alpaca I guess. The reason this is significant is because land ownership is the main thing for wealth generation and growth. Property that appreciates over time and doesn’t charge you rent for the rest of your life. Land is stability, it’s opportunity, it’s freedom. As you might imagine, being enslaved for multiple generations has a strong affect on a community. As well as the many laws passed that have hindered the growth of black people for decades.

Side note, the music industry has always “exploited” black artists. They write up contracts that heavily redistribute the earnings from the artists brand. Kanye is breaking financial barriers and ownership barriers. His clothing brand Yeezy has probably made him more money than his music career. It’s worth 1.5 billion. And he has 100% ownership.

So Ye’s father and mother separated when he was still young, and Ye says he harbored some hatred towards his father. One of the first things he did on his way to self discovery was to reconnect with his father... He says they argue a lot, and one of the times they were arguing his dad told him he wasn’t being like Christ

4000 acres for a black man is kinda unheard of in this country or anywhere for that matter!

My thought is that “it ain’t Christ like” means it’s not something Christ would do. In this case argue with his father. God being the father of Christ.

This song is more of a new convert trying to cope with the dos and donts of Christianity like respecting your parents, screaming at them ain't christ like.

That big vehicle is called a sherp, it can drive on water. It’s basically a submarine that can go on land.

This is a very good review only thing that bothers me is how the ending wasn’t understood about owning that much land as a black man and how big of accomplishment something like that is it is very rare yet very beautiful to know that the minority that came from poverty can have accomplish such I’ve been accomplishment like that

Wow at the end Dad, the Pastor had great insight and was very open in his assessment, very positive....The son not so open it seemed, the son seems to not be convinced that Kanye loves God and has a genuine walk with the Lord...a little judgement there, almost as if he wants Kanye to prove something to him. Why is the son skeptical and how would he feel if we trivialized his Faith in God. My question is why are requiring Kanye to do something that was never required of us...no one ever asked me to prove that I believed in God.
