Why Herceg Novi is Montenegro's Gem

In this video we show you the beautiful city of Herceg Novi and help you see why it is Montenegro's gem location. Herceg Novi is a lovely city with a very long 7-kilometer promenade called the Pet Danica. It is the perfect place to enjoy a full day out as it is adorned with restaurants, cafes and beaches.
The cost of living in Montenegro is considerably less expensive than many countries in Europe and it affords a wonderful expat lifestyle.
We bought our home in Kotor Montenegro in 2016, we were enchanted by this medieval city from first sight. With the low cost of living, Mediterranean climate, UNESCO Heritage designation, and its popularity as a tourist destination for Eastern Europeans and the British it made perfect sense to buy here. As we travel Europe over the next 5 to 10 years we will be using our home in Montenegro as our home base. We almost bought a home in Herceg Novi 2016, had it not been for a change in price to include the Kitchen, we may have been home based from Herceg Novi. We try to show in this video why we love Herceg Novi and why it may appeal to not only vacationers and tourists, but to expats and nomads as well.

Pronuncation tip: Would be like Pet Dan-eet-sa . c is just like a 'ts' or 's' sound unless it has ć or č which turns it into a 'ch' sound

A lot of Serbian have homes and apartments in Herceg Novi great city as Kotor as Perast Tivat etc, when you ask some people from the fjord boka kotorska you had answer we are not montenegrin we are Bokeljanin mean Bay of Kotor people so that part of Montenegro i love to, great video

Lots of traffic in the summer. There is only one road from the Croatian border to Kotor. Lovely area, but beware.

Regarding the promenade, it was named after 5 women (they all happened to be named Danica) that died fighting the Germans & Italians during WW2. Setalica Pet Danica in English Promenade 5 Danica's.
