4 Recent Heresies of John Piper

Most of us at 1 Stone Ministries have followed John Piper's ministry and Books for a long time.
While we have not necessarily agreed with where he stands on the 5 points of Calvinism, we have not seen any degradation of his solid teaching and Theology. Until recently.
He is now saying that God can be and implies that God has been unfaithful.
One of the core tenants of the Old Testament and the New Testament is the grace and never-ending faithfulness of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

By stating that God can fail us in his lack of faithfulness, Piper is not only impugning the holiness and infallibility of a loving and holy and righteous God. but he is also refuting what Jesus says in several places in the New Testament.

He is also saying that Jesus is either Stupid or a liar. Because he's totally saying that Christ is wrong. This also pure heresy.

In John 3:16 Jesus states "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son so that whoever believes on him shall have eternal life."

John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

This is why we're always telling people to read the Bible in deep theology studies and go into the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts and study for ourselves so we won't fall for lies and heresies of bad teachers and heretical doctrine.
This is why Paul tells us to study the word so that we're approved to be given deep knowledge by God so when garbage heresy like this comes up, we can give a ready answer as to why it is wrong.
