3 Watches EVERY Collection Needs [Casio, Omega, Rolex, Cartier]

These are the THREE watches every single watch collection NEEDS. These are the essentials, the bare bones, those simple watch essentials! And you know, it doesn't have to cost a fortune to have a strong 3 watch collection! Whether you go in for the mainstream Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Cartier ; for the more affordable pieces like Longines, Nomos, Hamilton, even some vintage pieces ; there is something for everyone to build that perfect collection!

The THREE WATCHES EVERYONE NEEDS is: 1. Casio Beater. 2. Stainless steel daily wear. And 3. A dress watch.

1. Casio: That Casio GOD TIER goodness! Casio is one of those affordable brands that still gets lots of love even from the high end horology snobs. Those vintage vibes, and a watch that can take a thrashing. Whether it is a G Shock or F91W, you gotta have a Casio in the collection.

2. Stainless Steel Daily Wear: That watch you can wear to work on the daily, then out for casual drinks, and perfect for a lazy Saturday morning. You're not thrashing this one around, but for daily life this watch has got you covered! I think the Omega Speedmaster perfectly exemplifies this category.

3. Dress Watch: Now, I know a lot of watch geeks won't agree with me here, and many do not have a dress watch in the line up. But I have said it once and I will say it again: YOU CANNOT WEAR A STEEL SPORTS WATCH TO A FANCY FUNCTION. No. no no no. I don't care if James Bond did it, you are not!

Let me know what you guys think! Did I get it right?! Am I way off the mark?! Let me know everything in the comments!

"You're not James Bond, are you, Babe." LOL😁 Nice vid, Brittany, thank you 👍 To me, 3 watch collection - sport, sport casual, dress. Sport can be dive or field, sport casual chrono, gmt, pilot or do it all OP type, and dress, well, kind of self explanatory🤪.

Yes! I’m really digging the short format ♥️
Here are my picks:
1. Casio DW-5600C (1989; that tells you how real of a beater this watch is)
2. Islander ISL-20
3. Seiko Seikomatic-R (1966; vintage pieces are simply gorgeous)

Have a great week ahead, Gringa!

Alternatively : the Casio Duro as a beater, a Rolex OP/Omega Aqua Terra/Formex Essence/Tissot Gentleman daily-dressy and an Hesalite Speedy/first gen Tudor BB/Sinn 104 for the cool sporty vintage vibe

I was really digging your deep-dive videos, but this short format is good too. Keep 'em comin'.

"You're not James Bond are you babes"
Love it. Who among us doesn't know at least a couple of guys who need to be told that a little more often in their lives?

Great video.

GM Britt. I have everyone of those watches in my collecíon. Rolex Day Date II, Cartier Santos Omega Seamaster, Casio, and Bell & Ross. I like that Tissot PRX 80 Automatic for a daily driver and have been eyeing it. Next buys will be GP Laureato, Cartier Tank XL, and maybe Longines Master Annual Calendar Chrono. And I like the longer vids better, just sayin.

Bond may have originally worn a Submariner, but Flemming wore a 1016 Explorer and that you can tuck under a cuff. I'll choose the Explorer thank you very much Brittany.

my current collection:
- Beater watch: TagHeuer Formular 1 Quazrt (a gift when I graduated highschool, and it will always be reliable whenever I need to quickly grab a watch)
- Everyday watch: Nomos Club neomatic white dial, blue numeral (a dive watch can be both casual and classy I bought when I finish my master degree)
- Dresswatch: Glashütte Original PanoReserve silver dial ( basically an affordable A.lange & Söhne 1. Rarely wear this piece but I stare at it every night. It has most of what A.lange has: hand engraved balance bridge, screw gold chatons, ...)

Thinking about changing to the Seamaster and GrandSeiko but never pull the trigger :)) love your contend since the day I stumble on your channel. loving the short format!

The Casio rabbit hole is long and deep, have so many now. Once I was complimented on my old Casio DBC-150 that was held to the strap by a piece of duck tape as the case had broken. Just can't get into Omega, more for you... but find Breitling is a better fit for me. My dress watch is a white dial Oris with the small red 2nd hand.
