"Oh darling Abigail, I've changed. Come live with me in an outhouse I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to take a shit in"- Uncle, 1907.

John, 1907: "I've seen enough cows"
John, 1911: has a whole herd of cows in his farm

Uncle in 1907: What do you think this is? 1785?

John in 1911: What is this, 1850?

Uncle is citing 1785 because he remembered how hard it was to build barns in his childhood.

Uncle: “We are not cavemen, we have technology!” - this is basically what he said lol

“You don’t build a barn dumbass” has to be my favourite line from uncle the whole game 😂

Uncle may have been a lazy drunk, but he was smart as hell, and always had something up his sleeve. Knew how to manipulate the people around him too 🤣

Its funny that John is a lot younger than Uncle but doesn't know even precut houses while Uncle on the other hand is a lot older but knows everything that is new.

Uncle wasn't lazy, he just hated the violence. He would rather do ranch hand work, skip his work and get drunk than be shot at by pissed off outlaws and ego driven lawmen. Uncle was pretty smart, in a lowlife way, but he proved his worth to me by always cracking jokes and making parties more lively. Uncle was the soul of the gang, and he was the age everyone wished to live to. He died protecting this ranch and the family he loved. He has my respect.

If Uncle was still alive to this day he would be a gamer

Uncle was the only reason John's farm was successful. He proved it time and time again.

When uncle first brought up " pre-cut" homes my dumb ass genuinely thought he was talking about an actual house already built and moved to Jon's land

I love how he says “What do you think this is 1785?!” Like as if it were the 2000’s or something

I appreciate Uncle was probably the eldest in the group maybe save for Hosea and Strauss but he was pretty in tune with modernization such as pre cut housing and smart enough to know what kind farming could be done on the land John had.

"That man makes me hate the modern world."

I'm 25 and I felt the shit out of that line, partner.

I love how genuinely helpful uncle was during this sequence. Sure he's lazy but he knows what he's talking about...most of the time
