Some ideas for Sideprojects or Megaprojects:
- Mont-Blanc-Tunnel
- Aiguille du Midi cable car
- German Autobahn
- European Power Grid
- Illwerke - Complex of smaller hydroelectric power plants in Vorarlberg(Austria) region since 1920s
- USSR bunkers under the cities in East Europe (in general)

If it's not big enough for Mega Projects, I'd love to see an in-depth dive into the Soviet Union moving over 1, 500 factories east to avoid German capture...not to mention the 16 million Soviet civilians moved from said areas to run the factories.

if you drive from town ( called Jubail balad) to the other end of the city reaching the Royal Commisssion area, it takes about 20 minutes granted you are driving at an average speed of 100 km/hour, that long stretch in between covers the length of the industrial zone alone. It beautiful to see this area at night; looks like Gotham City in batman.

Hi from Jubail to all,

Thanks for sheding some lights on this impressive project ... A unique & inspiring success story for Saudis!! Smart utilization of international resources and collaboration with global leaders.

Unfortunate to see extremists commenting on some thing they may never lived in or knew about.. It just because they do not like someone to mention positive view of others ...

Very proud of my country and my city ...

There are other things in Saudi Arabia that need films such as:
1. The largest clock in the world is located in Mecca
2. The tallest fountain in the world is located in Jeddah
3. The largest gas field in the world is called Al-Jafurah, which is located in Saudi Arabia
4. The story of ACWA Power, which was able to produce solar energy at the lowest production cost in the world
5. The story of the land road that linked Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman bypassing the difficult conditions by overcoming the problem of the Empty Quarter sands
6. King Fahd Causeway linking Bahrain with Saudi Arabia
And many other projects.

Great video! Have you looked at doing a video on Wilmerding, PA? The city was built around The Westinghouse Airbrake Company. You could also do a biographics on George Westinghouse; he revolutionized the railroad industry, and was a big influencer in making AC (he partnered with Tesla) what it is today.

I have probably gone up and down that Khobar - Jubail Highway hundreds of times. Always was fascinated by the size of every project and every locator.

The capacity of the King Fahd port is far above 52658 Tonnes. I think someone might have forgotten a Million there. One ship can carry more than 300.000 Tonnes.

I'm not sure if this would be a Mega or a Side, but, I'm suggesting the Alaskan Pipeline.
Thanks Simon!

Jubail authorities are planting trees as much as they could to try to "reduce" air pollution. Also the authorities put a really high fines and sanctions for the industries that don't change their chimney air filters .

I’m a woman living in Jubail. Swam at the beach almost weekly while the water was nice. Most beaches are family beaches. I don’t know why this type of misinformation gets perpetuated.
