I worked in the NHS and bought a Christmas present for an old lady who had no family and was alone, she cried with joy on having a box of chocolates and a card for xmas. The point is I could give it to her, but it would have been wrong for me to have received anything from her, not only that she had nothing.

Watching Labour in power is like reading Animal Farm. They stop the heating allowance for pensioners but hire personal photographers for £60, 000 and snatch at all the perks offered them i.e. freebies. Talk about tone deaf

In the 1990s I sold pensions on the strength that the tax free lump sum would pay off most if not all of the mortgage and leave the investor with a pension for life. Most were over a 40 year term plus, I was not alone.
