Easily Doucet's most famous work, the Chopinata is a short fantasy based on 3 of Chopin's most famous pieces: the Polonaise in A major (Op. 40, No. 1), the Waltz in C-sharp minor (Op. 64, No. 2), and the Fantaisie-Impromptu (Op. 66).

The purist in me wants to scream--but, let's face it--it's irresistible! So well played, the spirit of Chopin able to captivate, entice listeners after centuries with a novel version so well performed. Thank you to superb artist for a wonderful treat!

Reminds me of that little improv Marc Andre Hamelin did on Chopin... think it was on the minute waltz or other themes. Maybe he actually played this.
