Charleston South Carolina - Most beautiful city in America?

Charleston South Carolina is one of the most beautiful cities we have visited on this U.S. Road Trip.
Charleston was founded in 1670 on the coast of South Carolina, it's a city that overflows with new world charm. Pretty pastel-painted houses line the cobblestone streets. Huge oak trees dripping with Spanish moss and horse-drawn carriages trot along, taking tourists on tour to see the finest in antebellum homes.

Charleston is a compact and walkable city – If you visit, don't miss a stroll along the promenade that runs along the seafront. Overlooking the harbor and Waterfront Park, this coastal walk passes many prominent historic buildings with their elegant verandas shaded by palm trees. Along other nearby streets you'll discover boutique shops, museums and art galleries. And, there is no end to the fabulous restaurant selection.

Charleston is my favorite place to visit. I usually hate cities (we live in the mountains) but Charleston is an exception.

I went there for 3/4 of a day recently. I wasn't expecting too much from Charleston, but I left completely enamored by the city. It reminded me a little bit of San Francisco in terms of historical buildings, but the pastel colors of the buildings in Charleston also gave it a tropical vibe. I would love to go visit there for 3-4 days to capture the essence of the city.

I live in Charleston area, on one of the islands, and I really do love it. The only problem now is they keep building and we don't have the roads to accommodate the growing population. It's also getting quite expensive to live here, but it definitely is a beautiful place to live!

I am looking to relocate. But, it needs to be $400 to $500 a month. Or under $100, 000.

I have a chronic illness. Good air is suppose to help. No mold. No chemicals. I have a mini van to transport my power chair.

Keep on the look out. I know it is a long shot.
