Good tips doctor, I find using these small portable bidets are helpful, there are several on Amazon which do not take up much room and are easy to carry and use. One is just a small bottle top that you can put on a bottle of water to use. Hand showers are the best for cleansing. I don't want having hemorrhoids keeping me from traveling and enjoying the world. You are a blessing. Thank you.

I was in "fissure remission" for several months. I was at the airport to go on a few week holiday. Duty called at the same time as "your flight is now boarding" and then came urge to go. I went and my fissure is like "remember me!?". Seriously! So annoying. Thankfully I brought some of the supplies in this video, and the hotel had a bath!

Dr I really need your consultation here cuz this is concerning me. I’ve done 2 hemorrhoidectomy surgeries the past four years, my last one was in 2022 I believe and since then I’ve been experiencing itching and pain after a bowel movement(not every bowel movement but frequent ones), my doctor suggested to use ointment or creams for a course of 4 to 5 days, I’ve never committed to that fully if I’m being honest, as soon as it got better and didn’t itch, I immediately dropped the ointment and never continue the course.
My question is, is it okay to use these ointments and creams to THIS day? Do they have “side effects”? Or is it okay to use them regularly?

Hotel did not have a tub, 😂, so couldn’t do epsom bath, but I tried! I did take miralax on one day but all other mornings were too early..(family graduations, etc.) what I did do that was really helpful…. The week before to get ‘cleaned out’ and hydrate……..during the trip eat light and pay attention and not over indulge in treats, food or alcohol. Most importantly…I didn’t stress because I knew that once I was home I could fix all the mistakes and in a short time, all was ok. 💜 Really appreciate this post’s message.😀
